Chocolate Pie Surprise

  1. Bake pie crust at 425u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Sprinkle bottom of hot pie crust with chocolate chips. When they melt, spread around to coat evenly.
  3. Cool.
  4. Meanwhile, whip cream cheese until fluffy.
  5. Add vanilla at this time, if desired.
  6. Spread over chocolate layer in pie crust.
  7. Mix together the pudding and cold milk.
  8. Whip until smooth and thick; set aside 5 minutes.
  9. Blend in the whipped cream, mixing well.
  10. Spread over cream cheese layer in pie crust.
  11. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or longer.
  12. Before serving, garnish with candy orange slices.
