Dividend Casserole
- 1 c. sliced celery
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. diced, cooked meat
- 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1 1/4 c. gravy or 1 (10 oz.) can beef gravy
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/3 c. milk
- 1/2 c. shredded cheese (Cheddar)
- 1 c. prepared biscuit mix
- Saute celery, green pepper and onions in margarine until tender but not brown.
- Stir in meat and parsley.
- Add gravy and season to taste.
- Turn into casserole dish.
- Combine milk with cheese; add biscuit mix and blend well.
- Knead gently about 10 times on lightly floured board, roll into rectangle 1/2-inch thick.
- Cut into 6 squares and place on top of meat mixture.
- Bake at 400u0b0 until biscuits are golden.
- In this casserole you can use any meat you have on hand, beef, lamb, veal or pork.
