Rolled Stuffed Round Steak
- 1 1/2 lb. round steak
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 c. celery
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 2 1/2 c. white bread crumbs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. dried marjoram leaves
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 can sliced mushrooms
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- Wipe steak with damp towel.
- Trim excess fat.
- Scar surface in diamond pattern 1/8-inch drop on both sides.
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in Dutch oven.
- Add celery and onion; saute until tender; remove from heat.
- Add bread crumbs, parsley, salt, poultry seasoning, marjoram and pepper, tossing lightly with fork until well mixed.
- Place stuffing lengthwise down center of steak; start at narrow end, roll up and secure with skewers.
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Brown steak in Dutch oven.
- Spoon mushrooms and liquids over top.
- Bake 1 1/2 hours.
- Make gravy.
- Cut crosswise and pour on gravy.
