Best Ever Deer And Gravy
- 1 pkg. deer steak or any deer, cut in small pieces to fry
- oil
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 large onion, sliced
- salt
- pepper
- flour
- Flour deer after salting and
- peppering.
- Fry
- in oil to brown.
- Meanwhile place a large
- skillet
- or
- pot
- on
- another burner.
- Depending on amount you
- cook,
- put water in pot.
- For one package of deer to feed 4, use about 2 cups of water.
- When meat is browned, drop directly
- into
- water
- that is simmering. Do not drain on paper.
- Continue
- until
- all
- meat
- is browned. Cook onions in oil until tender.
- Drain off most of oil.
- Brown small amount of flour and brown.
- Add
- all
- this to water.
- Add soup. Simmer, adding water if necessary.
