Basic Barbecued Spareribs

  1. To prepare ribs: Simmer in a large pot with salted water to cover for 45 to 60 minutes, until meat begins to pull away from bones.
  2. In a bowl, combine sauce.
  3. Let stand for 15 minutes. Place ribs on deep platter; brush sauce on both sides.
  4. Let stand for 2 hours.
  5. Remove ribs.
  6. Pour sauce in a cup.
  7. Cook by barbecuing time table to desired doneness, brushing frequently with sauce.
  8. Serves 6.
