Honey Wheat Bread
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 1 egg
- 3/4 c. honey
- 1/2 c. nonfat dry milk
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 3/4 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
- 3 c. whole wheat flour
- 4 to 4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water in large mixing bowl. Let stand 5 minutes.
- Stir in egg and next 5 ingredients.
- Add whole wheat flour.
- Beat at medium speed until smooth.
- Stir in enough all-purpose flour to make stiff dough.
- Turn onto floured board.
- Knead 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover.
- Let rise in warm place until doubled.
- Punch down.
- Divide in half. Shape into 2 loaves.
- Place into 2 well-greased loaf pans.
- Cover and let rise until doubled.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 30 minutes.
