Monkey Bread

  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water, enough to dissolve it, for a few minutes.
  2. In mixing bowl, combine oil, brown sugar and salt and add milk.
  3. Stir until cool.
  4. Add egg.
  5. Add about 2 1/2 cups flour and mix well.
  6. Add flour until dough makes a soft mixture.
  7. Turn onto floured surface.
  8. Cover with greased foil and let rest 10 minutes; knead about 2 to 3 minutes.
  9. Put in greased bowl and cover with foil and cloth.
  10. Keep in refrigerator overnight; roll out dough to about 1/2-inch.
  11. Cut into squares and dip in melted butter and put in pan in layers.
  12. Let rise about 3 hours until double in size.
  13. Cook in oven at 400u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
  14. Heat 1 stick margarine and pour over when it comes out of oven.
