Chocolate Crunch Bars
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 sq. unsweetened melted chocolate
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 pt. marshmallow cream
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 c. peanut butter
- 1 c. Rice Krispies
- Beat first 6 ingredients.
- Add the unsweetened chocolate and nuts and beat 1/2 minute more.
- Put in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350u0b0 for 15 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and, while bars are still warm, add marshmallow cream.
- Put in oven and bake another 3 minutes.
- Take out; spread the marshmallow cream and cool.
- When cool, melt chocolate chips with peanut butter.
- To this, add Rice Krispies. Spread over cooled bars and refrigerate.
- Freezes well.
