Applause Winning Baked Lasagna
- 1 lb. Italian sausage, pork or ground beef
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 Tbsp. basil
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (1 lb.) can (2 c.) tomatoes
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 10 oz. lasagna noodles (boil until tender, 15 minutes)
- 3 c. cream-style cottage cheese
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. parsley flakes
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 lb. sliced Mozzarella cheese
- Brown meat.
- Spoon off excess fat.
- Add next 6 ingredients. Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Meanwhile, combine cottage cheese with eggs, seasonings and Parmesan cheese. Layer in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish starting with lasagna, tomato sauce, Mozzarella cheese and cottage cheese mix.
