Potato Lovers' Casserole

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Place frozen hash brown potatoes in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Melt 1/2 cup of butter and pour over potatoes.
  4. Set aside.
  5. In a 2-quart bowl, mix sour cream, onion, cheese, soup, salt and black pepper.
  6. Pour over potatoes and mix well.
  7. Combine 2 cups of crushed cornflakes and the other 1/2 cup melted butter.
  8. Spread over potato mixture.
  9. Bake for 1 hour. Yield:
  10. 9 cups.
  11. Makes 18 servings (1/2 cup each).
