Green Bean Casserole
- 1 (10 oz.) can condensed mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. cream
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 4 c. cooked, fresh green beans
- 2 Tbsp. chopped pimento
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs or Fritos, very fine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- Combine soup and cream; beat.
- Blend butter and flour and stir into soup mixture.
- Add Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
- Stir in cheese until melted.
- Pour over beans; add pimento and add seasoning.
- Pour into casserole. Sprinkle with crumbs or Fritos, very fine.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes or until mixture is hot and crumbs are browned.
- Serves 6.
