Christmas Cookies

  1. Sift 2 1/2 cups flour with cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar; add slightly beaten eggs.
  4. Add flour and liquid alternately.
  5. Dissolve soda in buttermilk; add to mixture.
  6. Add whiskey.
  7. Cut up candied fruits and add nuts.
  8. Sift 1/2 cup of flour over fruits and nuts (keeps from sticking together).
  9. Fold in mixture.
  10. Drop by teaspoonful on greased and floured cookie sheet.
  11. Bake in preheated 250u0b0 oven for 25 minutes. Yield:
  12. 6 dozen.
  13. May be frozen.
