Chocolate Almond Marble Pound Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Melt over hot (not boiling) water, 1/2 cup morsels.
  3. Stir until smooth; set aside.
  4. In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
  5. In large bowl, combine sugar, vegetable oil and almond extract; beat well.
  6. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.
  7. Gradually beat in flour mixture alternately with milk.
  8. Divide batter in half.
  9. Stir melted morsels and remaining 3/4 cup morsels into 1/2 of batter; mix well.
  10. Pour 1/2 plain batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.
  11. Top with 1/2 of chocolate batter. Repeat layers with remaining batters.
  12. Bake for 65 to 70 minutes. Cool 15 minutes; remove from pan.
  13. Cool completely on wire rack. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
