Fruit Cake

  1. Pour cherry over fruit; let stand overnight.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar.
  3. Add sour cream; beat until fluffy.
  4. Add flavorings. Sift flour, soda and salt.
  5. Beat eggs.
  6. Add flour and eggs to mixture, beginning and ending with flour.
  7. Put 1/2 cup of the flour over fruit and nuts; blend until all fruit is coated.
  8. Pour batter over all.
  9. Mix until blended.
  10. Put into 2 loaf pans lined with wax paper.
  11. Bake in middle of stove at 250u0b0 for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Keep pan with water under cake.
  12. Let cool in oven.
