Country Swiss Steaks

  1. Slice the meat
  2. into steaks 1-inch thick, 3-inches wide and 5-inches long.
  3. Place
  4. the
  5. cooking
  6. oil
  7. in
  8. a frypan and heat. Roll the steaks
  9. in the flour.
  10. Remove and place in the frypan. Cook,
  11. turning
  12. occasionally
  13. until
  14. done
  15. and brown. Remove from frypan
  16. and
  17. place
  18. in a roasting pan.
  19. Cover with onions, tomatoes and tomato juice.
  20. Cover and bake in preheated 325u0b0 oven for 2
  21. to
  22. 2
  23. 1/2
  24. hours
  25. or until the steaks are tender.
  26. Mix 2 tablespoons
  27. of
  28. flour
  29. with a small amount of water.
  30. Make a smooth mixture and add to the steaks, stirring gently.
  31. Cook for another
  32. 5
  33. to 10 minutes and the steaks are ready to serve. Serves 6 to 10 people.
