Italian Spaghetti
- 6 Tbsp. oil or drippings
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 Spanish onion, sliced fine
- 1 lb. ground meat, beef
- 1 can tomato paste (6 oz.)
- 1 c. thick tomato puree
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. celery salt
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. chili sauce
- 1 Tbsp. A.1. sauce
- 1/4 lb. grated Italian cheese
- 1 lb. spaghetti noodles
- Heat oil or fat in large skillet.
- Add finely chopped garlic, green pepper and onion.
- Cook without browning 5 minutes.
- Add ground beef; mix well and cook on high heat until lightly brown. Add tomato paste, tomato puree and boiling water.
- Simmer 1 hour or longer (if desired).
- Add seasonings last 15 minutes of cooking.
- Serve over hot cooked spaghetti.
- Sprinkle with grated cheese.
