Chef Tony Lasagna
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna
- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. ground beef or turkey
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 3/4 c. onion, chopped
- 3 (10 1/2 oz.) cans meatless Italian sauce (4 c.)
- 1/2 lb. kielbasa sausage, sliced thin
- 1 c. water
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. large curd cottage cheese
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 12 oz. Old English cheese, sliced
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- Cook lasagna according to package directions.
- Cook beef, garlic and onions in large saucepan for 10 minutes.
- Add next 3 ingredients; mix well and let simmer 15 minutes.
- In bowl, combine cottage cheese and eggs.
- Grease a 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch baking pan.
- Arrange several alternate layers of cooked and drained lasagna, sliced cheese, meat sauce and cottage cheese mixture, beginning with lasagna and ending with meat sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 to 55 minutes.
