Ham And Broccoli Royale

  1. Cook rice following label directions; spoon into well-greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook and drain broccoli; place over rice.
  3. Melt butter in large frying pan.
  4. Measure out 2 tablespoons and sprinkle over crumbs in a small bowl.
  5. Saute onions in remaining butter; stir in flour, salt and pepper.
  6. Cook until bubbly, stirring constantly.
  7. Stir in milk; continue to cook and stir until thick.
  8. Boil 1 minute.
  9. Stir in ham; heat until bubbly. Pour over layers in pan.
  10. Place cheese slices over ham layer; sprinkle with buttered crumbs.
  11. Cover and chill.
  12. Forty-five minutes before serving, uncover and bake at 350u0b0 until browned.
