Wuollet'S Brownie Enormous - Minnesota Brownies
- 3/4 cup melted butter (1 1/2 sticks, 12 T)
- 4 squares baking chocolate (unsweetened, 4 oz)
- 2 cups sugar (white, granulated)
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup chunks of premium-grade bar chocolate
- mixed with* large walnut pieces
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Microwave butter and chocolate (in a pyrex bowl large enough to mix the rest of the ingredients or use a small bowl) on high for about 2 minutes or until melted. Stir occasionally.
- Add each remaining ingredient into the same large bowl (or pour the contents of the small bowl into a mixer), stirring after each addition.
- Gently fold in the walnuts and chunks of chocolate.
- Pour** into a 9 by 13-inch buttered baking dish (I lined mine with parchment paper) and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs.
- Do not overbake!
- *Note - this should be a total of 1 cup of chocolate and walnuts, but you can always add a little more to suit your tastes.
- **Note - the batter is very thick**.
