Red Velvet Cocoa Cake

  1. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla in a large mixer bowl.
  2. Add eggs and food color; blend.
  3. Combine flour, cocoa and salt; add alternately with buttermilk to creamed mixture.
  4. Stir baking soda into vinegar; fold carefully into batter (do not beat).
  5. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9-inch pans.
  6. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from pans.
