Mother'S Lemon Snow Cake

  1. Sift the sugar, flour and cornstarch before measuring.
  2. Then sift the measured cornstarch, flour, baking powder and salt together 4 times.
  3. Cream the butter thoroughly and add the sugar a little at a time, creaming it in well.
  4. Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk.
  5. Beat the egg whites into stiff peaks. Fold into the creamed mixture.
  6. Pour into 3 greased and floured layer cake pans and bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 25 minutes.
  7. Cool in pans for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove from pans and finish cooling.
  9. Put the layers together with filling.
