Beef Marsala
- 2 to 3 lb. sirloin steak
- 1 egg
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1 1/4 c. Italian bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 1 clove garlic, sliced
- 3/4 c. water
- 2 tsp. flour
- 1/2 c. Marsala cooking wine
- 1/4 c. parsley
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- Cut steak into 4-inch pieces.
- In small bowl, beat egg with milk.
- In another bowl, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan, salt and pepper.
- Dip meat in egg mix, then in bread crumb mix.
- In large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons margarine.
- Cook garlic and all the meat until lightly browned, using 1/2 cup butter in all.
- Remove meat from pan.
- In cup, mix water and flour.
- Melt remaining butter in skillet.
- Add water mixture, Marsala wine, parsley and bouillon.
- Cook, stirring, until thickened.
- Pour over meat.
