Inside-Out Ravioli Casserole
- 1 lb. ground meat
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (7 oz.) pkg. shell or elbow macaroni, cooked
- 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 (1 lb.) can spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- dash of pepper
- 4 oz. shredded American cheese
- 2 well beaten eggs
- Brown ground beef with onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon oil. Cook spinach according to package directions; drain, reserving liquid.
- Add water to liquid to make 1 cup.
- Stir spinach liquid, spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and pepper into meat mixture.
- Simmer 10 minutes.
- Combine spinach with macaroni, cheese, bread crumbs, eggs and oil.
- Spread in 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
- Top with meat sauce.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
- Makes 8 to 10 servings.
