Layered Cabbage Casserole

  1. Cut cabbage into small wedges; cook in boiling salted water until tender.
  2. Drain.
  3. Place wedges in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
  4. Set aside.
  5. Melt butter in a small saucepan; stir in flour, salt and pepper.
  6. Gradually stir in milk; cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
  7. Pour sauce over cabbage wedges.
  8. Bake at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes.
