Grandmaw'S Chip Cookies
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine
- 1 c. packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. uncooked old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 c. dark raisins
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs; add vanilla, baking soda and salt.
- Blend in oats, flour and water to make fairly stiff dough.
- Blend in pecans, raisins and chocolate chips.
- Drop mixture by teaspoon onto baking sheet.
- Flatten slightly.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are just browned around edges and feel firm in center.
- Don't overbake.
- Remove from cookie sheets.
- Cool on rack. Makes 4 dozen.
