Gamaretti Di Mare(Main Dish)
- 1 c. butter
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. chopped parsley
- 2 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. chopped chives or green onion tops
- 4 tsp. brandy
- dash of ground cloves
- dash of ground nutmeg
- 40 uncooked, peeled, deveined large shrimp
- 16 medium mushroom caps
- 4 medium tomatoes, cut in 8 wedges
- 2 medium green peppers, cut in 1/4-inch strips
- 2 tsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. plus 2 tsp. dry white vermouth
- 1 box linguini or rice
- Melt butter in skillet and stir in garlic, parsley, chives, brandy, cloves and nutmeg.
- When bubbly, add shrimp, mushrooms, tomatoes and pepper.
- Then saute until shrimp are cooked.
- Transfer to heated platter.
- Cook linguini or rice.
