Pork Chops In Sour Cream Gravy
- 4 pork chops (3/4-inch thick)
- 1 c. sliced mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- paprika
- Brown mushrooms in butter in a heavy skillet.
- Remove mushrooms and brown pork chops on both sides.
- Season with salt and pepper; add 1/2 cup water, Worcestershire sauce and mushrooms. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes.
- Remove chops and keep warm. Prepare gravy in juice with mushrooms in skillet.
- Mix flour and remaining 1/2 cup water.
- Add to the juices.
- Cook, stirring constantly, until thickens.
- Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in sour cream.
- Serve at once over pork chops.
- Sprinkle with paprika.
