Hawaiian Special Macnut Cookies
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 2 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 12 oz. chocolate chips (white or brown)
- 1 (4 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
- 1 1/2 c. macnuts, in pieces or chopped
- 1 c. Rice Krispies (optional)
- Cream the butter or margarine, white sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, oatmeal, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
- Add dry mixture to creamed mixture. Stir in gently the chocolate chips, Hershey bar, macnuts and Rice Krispies.
- Drop with tablespoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350u0b0 for 6 minutes.
- Makes about 55 (2 1/2-inch) cookies.
