Granola
- 6 c. old fashioned oats
- 1 c. wheat germ
- 1 c. bran
- 1 c. coconut
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1/2 c. olive oil
- 2 c. chopped dried fruit (Craisins, raisins, papaya, dates, etc.)
- Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
- In a large mixing bowl, stir together oats, wheat germ, bran, coconut, and nuts.
- In a glass measuring cup, combine honey and oil.
- Microwave until it boils (approximately 2 minutes).
- Watch carefully.
- Pour oil and honey over oat mixture, and stir to coat all.
- Using 2 large cookie sheets or baking pans, divide oat mixture evenly, and spread as thin as possible.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 10 minutes.
- Stir and spread. Bake 10 minutes.
- Stir and spread.
- Bake 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven, combine both halves, and add dried fruit.
- Store airtight.
