Striped Jello

  1. Prepare 1 box Jell-O with 1 1/2 cups boiling water.
  2. Pour into 9 x 13-inch glass dish and refrigerate.
  3. Scald milk and sugar. Soften gelatin in cold water; add to milk and sugar.
  4. Let cool to lukewarm, then stir or beat in sour cream until smooth.
  5. When first Jell-O is set, pour on 1 cup of filling; refrigerate until set.
  6. Make second box of Jell-O so it will be at room temperature by the time the white layer is set.
  7. Keep alternating layers, ending with Jell-O.
  8. If the kitchen is cool, the white stuff will keep trying to set up in the pan.
  9. Just heat a little and stir until liquified and smooth.
  10. You can use just red and green Jell-O for Christmas.
