Striped Jello
- 6 small boxes Jell-O (assorted colors)
- boiling water
- 2 c. milk
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 envelopes unflavored gelatin
- 1 c. cold water
- 16 oz. sour cream
- Prepare 1 box Jell-O with 1 1/2 cups boiling water.
- Pour into 9 x 13-inch glass dish and refrigerate.
- Scald milk and sugar. Soften gelatin in cold water; add to milk and sugar.
- Let cool to lukewarm, then stir or beat in sour cream until smooth.
- When first Jell-O is set, pour on 1 cup of filling; refrigerate until set.
- Make second box of Jell-O so it will be at room temperature by the time the white layer is set.
- Keep alternating layers, ending with Jell-O.
- If the kitchen is cool, the white stuff will keep trying to set up in the pan.
- Just heat a little and stir until liquified and smooth.
- You can use just red and green Jell-O for Christmas.
