Miss Maggie'S Fruiti Fruiti Sherbet
- 1 Tbsp. gelatin
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- juice of 1 orange
- 2 c. crushed pineapple
- 1/2 c. maraschino cherries, sliced
- 2 mashed bananas
- 3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- Mix gelatin with cold water
- to soften.
- Add sugar to 1 cup boiling water, boil 5
- minutes.
- Add gelatin to hot syrup. Cool. Add salt, lemon juice and orange juice to syrup.
- Cool. Add pineapple,therries
- and
- mashed
- bananas.
- Prepare
- egg whites and white corn syrup.
- Fold
- in fruit mixture.
- Pour in ice cream freezer.
- Freeze as you would any ice cream.
