Lynn'S Foolproof Stuffing For Thanksgiving Turkey

  1. In a large skillet, crumble sausage.
  2. Cook and stir until sausage is brown.
  3. Drain off all but 1/4 cup drippings.
  4. Add butter, celery, onion and carrot.
  5. Cook, stirring occasionally until onion is tender.
  6. In a very large bowl, combine bread cubes, apple, sage, thyme, rosemary, parsley and sausage mixture.
  7. Toss lightly.
  8. Add enough broth to moisten.
  9. Salt and pepper to taste. Use to stuff 1 (10 to 12 pound) turkey.
