Butter Rich Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. In a small, heavy saucepan, melt the chocolate and 1 stick of butter over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth.
  3. Cool completely.
  4. In a large bowl with electric mixer, cream together remaining 1 stick of butter and the sugar, beating until mixture is light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Stir in vanilla and the chocolate mixture.
  7. Add the flour and a pinch of salt, stirring until mixture is blended well.
  8. Stir in walnuts.
  9. Pour into buttered and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan, smoothing top. Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until pulls away slightly from sides of pan.
  10. Serves 12.
