Fantasy Flower Cookie
- 4 1/2 c. powdered sugar, divided
- 1 1/3 c. margarine or butter (softened), divided
- 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla, divided
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose or whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- pink sugar
- green sugar
- What to do:
- Mix 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1 cup margarine or butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla and almond extract.
- Mix in flour, baking soda and cream of tartar.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Divide dough into halves.
- Roll each half 3/16-inch thick on a lightly floured cloth-covered board. Cut into circles.
- Place on lightly greased sheet and bake until edges are light brown, 7 or 8 minutes.
