Salsa Cheese Bake
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp. oil
- 12 oz. jar salsa
- 4 oz. chopped green chilies (drained)
- 2 tbsp. raisins
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- dash ground cumin
- 1/2 lb. sausage
- 16 oz. monterey jack cheese
- 1/4 c. sliced olives
- tortilla chips
- Cook garlic in oil 1 minute.
- Stir in next 6 ingredients. Heat to boiling constantly stirring.
- Reduce heat & simmer until thickened about 3 minutes.
- Cook & drain sausage, stir in 1 c. salsa mixture.
- In ungreased casserole dish layer 1/2 of cheese (sliced 1/4 inches) then sausage mixture.
- Top with 1/2 cheese. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees 8-10 minutes.
- Heat remaining salsa mixture & pour over cheese.
- Serve with chips.
