Stove Top Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

  1. In a bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Pour half into a large resealable zip-lock bag; add chicken. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 2 - 4 hours, turning once. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade.
  2. Drain and discard marinade from chicken. Transfer chicken to a large skillet; add reserved marinade. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 45 minutes or until chicken juices run clear.
  4. Note: When my sister made this, she used 4 oz boneless skinless chicken breast and let it marinate overnight.
