Fruit Cake Cookies
- 1 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 3 c. plain flour (save 1 c. for flouring fruit and nuts)
- 4 level tsp. soda
- 1 lb. pecans
- 1 tsp. each: cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg
- 1/2 c. water
- shake of salt
- 1/2 lb. candied cherries
- 1/2 lb. candied pineapple (red)
- 1/2 lb. candied pineapple (green)
- 1 lb. dates
- 1 (15 oz.) box raisins
- Mix eggs, butter and sugar; add 3 tablespoons milk.
- Add other ingredients until soft, then add salt.
- Take fruits and nuts; add 1 cup flour.
- Mix until each piece is covered with flour.
- Add to liquid mixture.
- Drop on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350u0b0 to 375u0b0.
- Cook 10 to 15 minutes or until brown.
