Wild Blueberry Crisp
- 4 c. wild blueberries, fresh or frozen
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. grated lemon rind
- 1 c. apples, peeled and diced
- 1 c. butter or margarine (2 sticks)
- 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. pecan pieces
- 1 c. rolled oats
- Combine blueberries, apples, sugar and lemon. Place in an 8x8x2 inch pan.
- Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, pecan pieces and rolled oats in a large bowl.
- Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.
- Spread mixture over blueberries.
- Bake at 325u0b0 until topping is golden and filling bubbles, about 65 minutes for frozen berries and 45 minutes for fresh.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
- 8 servings.
