Okra Gumbo

  1. In a 4-quart pan, gently melt oleo.
  2. Add onions, bell pepper and garlic.
  3. Saute until softened.
  4. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and chicken broth.
  5. Bring mixture to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat.
  7. Add seasonings, chicken, ham and okra.
  8. Simmer for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve over fluffy white rice.
