Dad'S Chili

  1. Fry meat in skillet until done; drain well.
  2. Put meat, chili powder, cayenne, salt and pepper in large pot.
  3. Fill with water. Boil 3 to 4 hours, adding water when needed.
  4. Add onions.
  5. Cook until tender.
  6. Add tomato sauce; stir well.
  7. Spoon off grease that is floating on top.
  8. Add a little cracker meal for grease you cannot remove.
  9. This helps thicken chili.
  10. Add 2 more teaspoons chili powder.
  11. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  12. Add beans.
  13. The longer the meat and chili powder boil, the better the chili taste.
