Wellesly Coffee Cake
- 1 c. margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. almonds
- 1/2 c. pecans
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating with each addition.
- Add sour cream, vanilla and almonds; beat well.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to mixture and beat.
- In separate bowl, combine sugar, pecans and cinnamon for filling.
- Place 1/3 batter in well-greased and floured tube pan.
- Sprinkle with 3/4 filling mixture.
- Spoon in rest of batter and sprinkle with remaining filling.
- Bake 1 hour.
