Turkey Chow Mein
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 green pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 c. sliced celery
- 1 3/4 c. chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/2 envelope onion soup mix
- 2 c. diced, cooked turkey
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 (5 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
- 1 (16 oz.) can bean sprouts
- chow mein noodles
- Heat margarine in a large frying pan.
- Saute green pepper and celery for 2 minutes.
- Add chicken broth.
- Blend cornstarch with cold water and soy sauce.
- Gradually stir into broth.
- Add onion soup mix.
- Cook and stir until mixture thickens and bubbles.
- Add turkey, mushrooms, water chestnuts and bean sprouts.
- Serve over rice or chow mein noodles.
