Dave'S No Guilt Soup
- 2 skinless chicken breasts, cooked
- 1 qt. canned tomatoes
- 1 c. lentils, cooked
- 1 c. corn, cooked
- 1 c. green beans, cooked
- 6 oz. canned mushrooms
- 1 c. macaroni
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. basil
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 dash of thyme
- 1 Tbsp. Mrs. Dash
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 to 2 c. water, as desired
- In
- a
- large pot, heat canned tomatoes.
- Add spices and chopped
- onions.
- Simmer
- 10
- minutes.
- Add cooked vegetables, mushrooms
- and
- cooked
- chicken
- that
- has been cut into small pieces.
- Add
- enough
- water
- to reach the desired consistency; less
- for a thick soup, more for a thinner soup.
- Add macaroni and simmer
- until
- the
- macaroni is tender.
- Adjust spices to suit your taste.
- Serves 8 to 10.
- A cup of soup is less than 100 calories and only 10% fat.
