New England Apple Cake
- 1/2 c. oleo
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 2 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 7 c. apples, coarsely chopped
- 3/4 c. walnuts
- 1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
- Cream together oleo and sugars.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add next 5 ingredients; mix thoroughly.
- Stir in apples and walnuts.
- Spoon into greased 10-inch Bundt or tube pan (I use a 9 x 13-inch pan).
- Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out almost clean.
- Cool on wire rack 10 minutes; turn onto serving dish.
- When completely cooled, dust with powdered sugar.
- Refrigerate leftovers.
- Bake at 350u0b0.
