Harvest Table Apple Pie
- 2 pie crusts for 9-inch pie
- 6 medium apples, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 1/3 c. Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 3 Tbsp. Karo syrup
- 2 Tbsp. soft margarine
- 1/4 c. chopped nuts
- Prepare pastry for two-crust 9-inch pie.
- Fill bottom shell with 6 medium apples, sliced.
- Combine cornstarch, cinnamon, salt, sugar, melted margarine and 1/3 cup Karo syrup.
- Pour over apples. Cover with top crust and bake in 425u0b0 oven for 45 minutes or until crust is browned and apples are tender.
- Remove from oven. To top, mix brown sugar, flour, 2 tablespoons Karo syrup, soft margarine and nuts.
- Spread over top crust; return to oven for 10 minutes or until top is bubbly.
