Stir-Fried Peas And Peppers
- vegetable cooking spray
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 lb. snow peas, trimmed
- 1 1/2 c. sweet red pepper strips
- 1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. chicken-flavored bouillon granules
- 2 tsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 tsp. sesame seed
- Coat a heavy skillet or wok with cooking spray; add oil and heat to medium-high for 2 minutes.
- Add next 3 ingredients. Stir-fry 3 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Combine sugar, cornstarch, bouillon granules and pepper in a small bowl.
- Add soy sauce and water; stir well.
- Pour over vegetables. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute or until sauce is thickened. Sprinkle with sesame seed.
