Sour Cream Noodle Bake(Serves 6 To 8)
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. sour cream
- 3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- Cook noodles; rinse and drain.
- Cook meat over medium heat until it loses pink color.
- Add tomato sauce, salt, garlic salt and pepper.
- Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
- Fold together noodles, cottage cheese, sour cream and onion.
- Spoon half the mixture into bottom of 2 1/2-quart casserole.
- Cover with half the meat mixture.
- Repeat layers once again.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over top.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes, until mixture is thoroughly heated and cheese is melted at 350u0b0.
