Chili Cheese Jubilee

  1. Brown ground beef in 8-inch square Pyrex dish for 4 minutes in microwave.
  2. Stir every 30 seconds.
  3. Drain fat.
  4. Melt butter for 20 seconds.
  5. Add onions and cook for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 minutes.
  6. Add tomato sauce, chili seasoning mix and water.
  7. Cook for 1 3/4 minutes.
  8. Beat the eggs slightly, add the cream and mix well.
  9. Add egg-cream mixture slowly to tomato-chili mixture, stirring constantly.
  10. Place 1/2 package chips in bottom of a 2-quart casserole.
  11. Top with 1/2 of beef, then add a layer of 1/2 of the Monterey Jack.
  12. Cover with 1/2 sauce.
  13. Repeat layers.
  14. Top with sour cream and sprinkle with grated Cheddar.
  15. Cook 6 to 7 minutes in microwave oven.
  16. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
