Chicken And Rice
- 3 lb. frying chicken parts
- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 3 Tbsp. grated onion
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
- 1/8 tsp. thyme
- 1 1/3 c. water
- 1 1/3 c. Minute rice
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. celery flakes
- Roll chicken in flour, saute until golden brown.
- Mix soup, onions and seasonings in a saucepan.
- Gradually stir in the water, bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Pour rice from the box into a shallow 2-quart casserole.
- Stir all but 1/3 cup soup mixture into rice.
- Top with chicken, pour on the remainder of the soup mixture, cover.
- Bake 30 minutes at 375u0b0 or until the chicken is done.
- Sprinkle with paprika.
- Serves 4.
