Barbie'S Apple Butter Country Ribs
- 4 lbs. county-style pork ribs
- salt and pepper
- 1 (14 oz.) jar apple butter
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. white vinegar
- 3 T. lemon juice
- 2 t. prepared horseradish
- 1 t. prepared mustard
- 1/2 t. sugar
- 1/2 t. garlic powder
- 1/2 t. celery seeds
- 1/8 t. black pepper
- Dash of red pepper and cumin
- Place ribs in large dutch oven, add water to cover.
- Bring to boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 45 minutes or until tender. Drain well; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Set aside.
- Combine apple butter and remaining ingredients in a saucepan; stir well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Coat ribs generously with apple butter sauce, place on a cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour in 250-300u0b0 oven.
- Baste occasionally with sauce.
