Barbie'S Apple Butter Country Ribs

  1. Place ribs in large dutch oven, add water to cover.
  2. Bring to boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 45 minutes or until tender. Drain well; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Combine apple butter and remaining ingredients in a saucepan; stir well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Coat ribs generously with apple butter sauce, place on a cookie sheet and bake for 1 hour in 250-300u0b0 oven.
  6. Baste occasionally with sauce.
